(Francês) Reflexive sociology of law between science and civil society

Sociology of law deals with issues that attract intense public interest. Its specific contribution, however, remains almost invisible. A possible response to this state of affairs could be for the sociology of law to engage in a larger reflexive analysis of the place of science in society nowadays. Thereby it could participate to the promotion of the societal role of science in general; which could mean: to the fulfilment of its promises. Rechtssoziologie befaßt sich mit Fragen, welche von der Öffentlichkeit mit großem Interesse verfolgt werden. Und dennoch wird ihr Beitrag als solcher kaum zur Kenntnis genommen. Als mögliche Antwort auf diese Sachlage könnte die Rechtssoziologie an der reflexiven Analyse der heutigen Lage der Wissenschaften teilnehmen, und damit an der Aufwertung der gesellschaftlichen Rolle der Wissenschaften allgemein – zur Einhaltung ihrer Versprechungen – mitwirken.
