Catarina Liane Araújo
CV Summary

Catarina Liane Araújo is a research assistant at ISCTE-IUL and currently working on the “Kit@ Project - Media competency training for professionals in day-care centers and comparable institutions in rural areas of Europe”. She is also a collaborative researcher at CIEd - UMinho.  Catarina has a background in primary education, special education needs, childhood studies and ICT use in education.  She has also conducted and participated in research focused on the area of writing and learning disabilities, Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) and the use of ICT in primary schools (i.e., teachers' and students' perceptions, teachers' practices, students’ academic performance, evidence based practices). Furthermore, Catarina Araújo has been awarded a doctoral fellowship by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and has participated in various national and international projects related to teacher training through evidence-based practice (e.g., “The Voice of European Teachers - Comenius Network”, “The Pigafetta Project – An investigation project about the educational use of the Magalhães Laptop in primary education across the north of Portugal” and “The Effects of Socioeconomic Status and Multilingualism on Children’s Cognitive Development”)
