Cláudia Werner (PhD in Systems Engineering and Computing) is a Full Professor at COPPE/UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) and Vice-President of the Deliberative Council of the same institution, since April 2022. She is also an associate researcher at ISTAR/ISCTE-IUL.

Cláudia is a Software Engineer who, currently, exploits software reuse techniques for software development, in general, and serious games development, in special, still aiming at software engineering education by applying virtual and augmented reality technologies.

Her research interests include Software ReuseSerious Games, and Software Engineering Education.

She published in domains such as Computer and Information Sciences (e.g., Information Sciences, Concurrency and Computation, Journal of Information Processing Systems, Science of Computer Programming), in general, Software Engineering (e.g., Journal of Systems and Software, IET Software, Automated Software Engineering, Software and System Modeling), more specifically, and also Technology in Education (e.g., IEEE Transaction on Learning Technologies, Presence).

Cláudia has a Bachelor in Mathematics – Computing Modality (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), and a Doctorate in Systems Engineering and Computation (COPPE/UFRJ).

She is member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Software Engineering Research and Development.
