Cristina Oliveira has a PhD in tourism management. She is affiliated to the ISTAR-IUL, Lisboa, Portugal.

She is the manager of a family Local Lodging where she was elected by her clients as a top manager for management, product, service quality and relationship marketing.

Cristina was the manager of WWM - World Web Marketing/Worldsites Portugal, a technology business which worked in partnership with developing centres in India and Canada specialized in web designing, development, web marketing promotion of the online presence for small and medium companies in different business sectors.

 She also worked under the direction of a post-graduation program whereby her duties were related to public relations with the media, students, brochures and the organization of seminars.

 In the academic activities she taught at the Business Communication and Negotiation skills in the Master in Information System Management (MGSI) and also in the Master in International Management (MIM), ISCTE/IUL. Cristina was also a guest lecturer in the Post Graduation in Tourism Products Management working in the area of Tourist Attractions Management in INDEG/ISCTE.

 She was responsible for budget proposals for the supply of different informatics equipment, furniture and office material among others to the government of Cape Verde.

 Cristina Oliveira has presented communications in national and international business, marketing and tourism conferences in Portugal, Malta, USA, and Japan.
