Este projeto visa analisar políticas públicas locais para o livro e a leitura, tendo como núcleo de análise as ações, as estratégias e as práticas de agentes na elaboração e na implementação dessas políticas, através da análise de ecossistemas locais do livro. Seguindo uma abordagem qualitativa intensiva, de estudo de casos, baseando-se na noção de ecossistemas e ecologia das artes e da cultura (Dujovne, 2018; McCarthy, Ondaatje e Novak, 2007), pretende-se caracterizar ecossistemas do livro em determinadas localidades, a fim de entendercomo estes se estruturam, sob a égide de políticas culturais, para responder à procura dos leitores, promover e democratizar a leitura e o acesso ao livro. Será desenvolvido um quadro de análise que se pretende adaptável a diferentes casos, sendo um contributo para a análise e produção de políticas e estudos voltados para essesector. Following the research on the reading practices of Portuguese students, PNL2027 [National Reading Plan] started in 2022 the study on Reading Promotion Practices among the young population. The new study aims to characterize reading mediators, as well as the census, analysis and discussion of reading promotion practices among the school-age population, between 6 and 18 years old. The universe of the study is made up of a wide range of players who, in different contexts, share the responsibility for encouraging reading: primary school teachers, teachers of Portuguese in the remaining primary and secondary school cycles, librarian teachers, librarians and curators of PNL2027 projects or other reading promotion projects. This study is conducted by OPAC - Portuguese Observatory of Cultural Activities, a structure of CIES-Iscte and has the collaboration of the National School Libraries Network [RBE] and the Directorate General of Education and Science Statistics [DGEEC].
