Fiber Solitons: Propagation, Amplification and Switching
Description
Main Objective: To study fiber solitons in the following aspects: (i) the in-line control in WDM soliton communication systems; (ii) amplification of solitonlike pulses in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers; (iii) soliton switching in nonlinear fiber couplers; (iv) chiral solitons, i.e., solitons in chiral optical fibers.
