CV Summary

PhD student in Modern and Contemporary History at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL). Has a Master's degree in History from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), and a Bachelor's degree in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He is currently a research scholarship holder, linked to the CINCRA Project (International Collaborations: criminality and police cooperation in the Ibero-American Atlantic, c. 1870-1940), which is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He was a Master's degree scholarship holder, funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES/Brazil). During his graduation, had research experience as a scholarship holder of the Institutional Memory Division of UFRJ and of the National Museum of Brazil. Its main research theme is the development of criminological science in the Atlantic World in the 19th and 20th centuries and its impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of State institutions in dealing with crime and criminals, with special attention to the cases of Brazil and Portugal.
