André Teixeira is an Assistant Professor of Finance at ISCTE Business School.

His research focuses on financial stability, monetary and fiscal policy transmission, and banking regulation. He has published in prestigious international academic journals, including the International Journal of Central Banking and the Journal of Financial Stability.

He was a Visiting Assistant Professor at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management (2019–2025) and at Carlos III University of Madrid (2011–2013).

He has worked as a consultant for the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority, as an Adviser in the Prudential Supervision Department of the Bank of Portugal, and as an Economist at the CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission). He has also held financial consultancy roles in the private sector, namely at Boston Consulting Group.
