Antonieta Rosa Gomes is an Associate Researcher at the Center for International Studies (CEI-Iscte), in the research group Institutions, Governance and International Relations. She has a PhD in African Studies from ISCTE-IUL in 2016, with the thesis entitled "Guinea-Bissau in the process of resolving the Casamance conflict." She was a Researcher at CICPRIS - Center for Research in Political Science, International Relations and Security. Master's degree in State Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), with dissertation entitled The Mutability of Administrative Contracts, in 1994, and degree in Administrative and Financial Political Law, at the same University, in 1987. Practiced the law profession for many years in São Paulo, Brazil and Guinea-Bissau. Teacher and holder of the discipline of Administrative Law II, at the Faculty of Law of Bissau, from 1995 to 1997.
She has several scientific publications (Book, articles in scientific journals and participation in collective works). His current research focuses on conflict resolution in Africa and in this context has a project and publications on the resolution of the Casamance conflict in Senegal. Coordinated nº. 42 of African Studies Notebooks, 2022, entitled The Peace Process of the Casamance conflict.
