Adriane Vieira holds a Master's degree in Sociology, from the University Institute of Lisbon - ISCTE-IUL (2018), with a dissertation focusing on refugee women in Portugal. She also has a specialization in Public Management, from the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa - UEPG (2015) and a bachelor's degree in Psychology, from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica Paraná - PUCPR (2013), both Brazilian universities. Her area of research is related to gender, refuge, refugee reception and integration in Portugal, public policies and mental health. Adriane was a research assistant in the FAMI project "Trajectories of Refuge: gender analysis, intersectionality and public policies in Portugal" (PT/2018/FAMI/351) developed at the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology, University Institute of Lisbon (Cies- IUL, ISCTE-IUL), and coordinated by Professor Beatriz Padilla.
