PhD in International Health at Insitute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Universidad de Nova de Lisboa, postgraduate in tropical diseases at Insitute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Universidad de Nova de Lisboa and graduated in nursing.
Professor of Public Health in the Postgraduate Program in Humanitarian Action at ISCTE, academic years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
She began her professional career at the emergency department of the Hospital Garcia de Orta (Portugal). In 2010 until 2017 she worked for the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières as a nurse activity manager and project medical referent in different countries such as Haiti, India, Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, Syria, Angola and Sierra Leone; in contexts of epidemics (Ebola, Measles, Cholera), armed conflicts, natural catastrophes and massive distributions of medicines.
In 2017, she integrated the pilot project: Sexual Assault Care Centers (SACC) in Belgium, collaborating with the research team for the organization and implementation of SACC's training program for professionals (nurses and psychologists).
In early 2018, she joins La Cooperativa Humanitaria as a trainer, designing, developing and implementing operational and technical training in the area of health at an international level.
