David Ramalho Alves holds a degree in Asian Studies from the Faculdade de Letras (School of Arts and Humanities) at the University of Lisbon and an MSc in International Studies from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon. He is currently a doctoral student in International Studies at Iscte and holds an FCT/CCCM research scholarship, collaborating on various initiatives at the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM). His research interests include International Studies and Relations, Asian Studies, Modern and Contemporary China, Macau, Migration, and Language Teaching. He has been a lecturer at Iscte since 2018, teaching Chinese language and culture. He also has professional experience in various organisations in Portugal and China, having worked in advisory roles, in migrant integration support, and as a language trainer in both corporate and educational settings.
