Architect, visual artist, and researcher. He is a PhD candidate in Architecture of Contemporary Metropolitan Territories at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon and a Research Fellow funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), affiliated with DINÂMIA’CET – Centre for Socioeconomic and Territorial Change.
He completed the Integrated Master’s degree in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FAUL) in 2020, and a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing in 2022 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, where drawing emerged as a central methodological and critical tool in his artistic, pedagogical, and research practice. Alongside his doctoral research, he completed the postgraduate program Commissioning and Curating Contemporary Public Art at the University of Gothenburg – HDK-Valand (Sweden), developing an interest in curatorial methodologies, public art commissioning, and socially engaged artistic practices.
His research focuses on experimental pedagogies, creative and critical spatial practices, art education, artistic practice, and alternative cultural and educational infrastructures. He has experience teaching visual arts, geometry, and communication design at secondary education level, and created and developed two editions of Cri_Lab – Experimental Laboratories of Creative Critical Spatial Practices. He maintains an active artistic practice through exhibitions, residencies, and collaborative projects.
