João Janeiro is a PhD student in Urban Studies and Assistant Researcher at DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte. He previously worked as a research assistant at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies in Berlin. He holds an MA in Sociology from Freie Universität Berlin and a BA in Politics and Sociology from the University of Glasgow. His research interests lie in the intersection of urban studies, tourism, and political economy.
