João Lázaro holds a PhD in Modern and Contemporary History, specialty Society and Economy and Citizenship.
He was a FCT research fellow between 2015-2019 ( SFRH/BD/110857/2015) with the dissertation "The labor movement in the Constitutional Monarchy: from public debate to political mobilization (1865-1877)".
Master in Modern and Contemporary History, since 2013 with the dissertation "The dawn of the labor movement in public sphere".
Author of several articles and one book about the Portuguese labor movement.
