About Me
Born and living in Lisbon, Portugal, with dual nationality: Portuguese and Cape Verdean.
My Professional World
I’m an Intranet Manager at Crédito Agrícola and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) — the first in Cape Verde and across the PALOP (Portuguese-speaking African countries).
Motherhood was a turning point in my life: I died and was reborn with a mission — to support women and families in birth and breastfeeding, and to empower healthcare professionals through education and care.
Advocacy & Social Impact
I’m proud to be one of the 20 co-founders and current Vice President of OVO PT – Obstetric Violence Observatory in Portugal, advocating for respectful maternity care and systemic change in maternal health.
My activism focuses on women’s rights in childbirth and breastfeeding, bridging clinical knowledge with social justice.
Personal Passions
I love running, yoga, and cycling — which I learned at the age of 43! These practices keep me grounded and energized.
My Life Philosophy
FAIL = First Attempt In Learning
END = Effort Never Dies
NO = Next Opportunity
Always with positive thinking. We are ONE.
