Manuel Alberto M. Ferreira is an electrical engineer and master´s in applied mathematics by University of Lisbon. Completed the PhD in Quantitative Methods for Management and Habilitation in Quantitative Methods at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Former President of Board of Directors and Vice-President of Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Professor Emeritus at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, former Director of Mathematics Department at ISTA-School of Technology and Architecture, and member of Research Centre ISTAR (Integrated Researcher). Former member of Research Centres BRU (Associate Researcher), and UNIDE (Integrated Researcher). The research interests include Mathematics; Statistics; Stochastic processes-queues and applied probabilities; Game theory; Chaos theory; Bayesian statistics: Application to Forensic identification; Applications in Economics, Management, Business, Marketing, Finance and Social Problems in general. Published 572 articles in Scientific Journals and Conference Annals, 47 book chapters, 38 books, edited 25 books, and presented 182 papers in International Scientific Conferences.
