I’m an activist researcher with a Master's degree in urban planning. My professional and academic activism is rooted in Teresina, where I was born and raised. Located in the Brazilian Semiarid, Teresina is likely to feel extra heat, even in the most optimistic climate change future scenarios. This realisation came to me at an early age. Since then, I have been making use of different platforms to increase climate resilience in Teresina: in the public sector, as a civil servant; in the third sector, as a member of urban collectives; in the private sector, as the co-founder of a composting start-up; in academia, as a lecturer and a PhD student, my current positionality.
