CV Summary

Marianna Monte is a researcher in the field of Urban Studies. Currently working on a project on the development of tourism in a non-central territory. In 2017 she obtained her PhD in urban studies (ISCTE-IUL+FCSH-UNL) with the thesis “In-between Uses as a Urbanistic Tool: Berlin References and Contributions to Lisbon”. In 2010 she obtained her master degree in Urban Design (TU-Berlin) with the thesis “Informal Street Vendors and Urban Policies in Rio de Janeiro”. In 2007 she graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at (UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro) with a public spaces requalification project. During her graduation she did an academic exchange at TFH-Berlin funded by the project “AURORA” of the community program “ALFA-European Latin American University Cooperation”.
