Sofia Petisca took her Master in Psychology of Emotions at ISCTE-IUL with a thesis in the area of food behavior, exploring how people's worries about food can be influenced by a survival context. Since 2014 she has been working in the field of Human-Robot interactions at GAIPS & INESC-ID, having been part of the EU FP7 EMOTE project (where an empathic robotic prototype was developed for the geography curriculum) and working in user centered design studies and data analysis.
Currently, she is a PhD student at ISCTE-IUL in collaboration with INESC-ID working in Psychology applied to Human-Robot Interaction. Her Phd focus on Morality in human-robot interactions, with the aim to understand how can we better equip our social robots to promote more honest behaviors from people.
