Master’s student in Sociology at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in the same field. His research focuses on gender sociology, with particular interest in the dynamics of gender reflexivity, sexual identities, sexual practices, and youth transitions.
He has authored work on identity and sexual transformations, including BDSM practices, and on the transition to adulthood among youth in residential care. He co-authored the studies “Being or practicing BDSM – Sexual identities and BDSM in relation” (III International CIEG Congress, 2024) and “Transitions to adulthood of youth in residential care” (XII Portuguese Sociology Congress, 2023).
He was a researcher in the project Transitions to Adulthood in Youth in Residential Care, in partnership with CIES-Iscte (2022–2023), and has been a member of the Portuguese Sociological Association since 2023. He received the Scientific Initiation Award in 2022.
His interests lie particularly in the intersections of biography, desire, social structure, and agency, drawing on critical perspectives on gender and power.
