Master's student in Sociology at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, where he also completed his undergraduate degree, he conducts research in the sociology of gender, with a focus on gender reflexivity, sexual identities, and youth transition processes. He is the author of work on identity and sexual transformation — with particular attention to BDSM practices — and on the transition to adulthood among young people in residential care.

He has presented at national and international conferences on gender, sexuality, and institutionalised youth, co-authoring "Ser ou Praticar BDSM – Identidades Sexuais e BDSM em Relação" (3rd CIEG International Congress, 2024) and "Transições para a Vida Adulta de Jovens em Acolhimento Residencial" (12th Portuguese Congress of Sociology, 2023).

He was a researcher on the project Transitions to Adulthood for Young People in Residential Care, in partnership with CIES-ISCTE (2022–2023), and has been a member of the Portuguese Sociological Association since 2023. He won the Scientific Initiation Competition (Concurso de Iniciação Científica) in 2022.

His interests lie at the intersection of biography, desire, social structure, and agency, drawing on critical perspectives on gender and power.
