Abstract/Resumo
If the problematic of the increase in precarious salaried work in the last decades is a central instrument for the analysis of global social changes, it is worth deepening the knowledge concerning its real consequences in the European context, so, based on a multidimensional analysis of social inequalities, empirical results are presented about the impacts of precarity on the labor association and the citizenship practices of European workers. By developing a methodological strategy that articulates national-comparative and transnational European scales, it's explored the data of the "European Social Survey" (Years of 2008 and 2006), international survey which is currently a relevant tool in the unveiling of European dynamics. It appears that the precarity is a phenomenon with different densities in the set of the analyzed European countries, assuming different expressions in terms of the bond contract, worker's perceptions and job satisfaction. Precarity expresses the "old" and the "new" social inequalities of the European labor markets, finding itself unevenly distributed among the different social classes and education levels. The inequalities of employment conditions affects the labor association and the collective action of workers, as a result of the combination of structural and institutional factors, observable in the European continent.
