Abstract/Resumo
The objective is to identify Portuguese cultural standards from the Chinese perspective. The methodology uses the Cultural Standards Method, which is an innovative qualitative approach for cross-cultural research and particularly used to study cultural differences between two specific cultures. The cultural standards method consists of three main phases: narrative interviews, analysis, and categorization, as well as feedback and discussion. The main data was collected from thirty Chinese interviewees who have experiences of living and working in Portugal. The results are confirmed by the feedback and discussion from the interviewees and the third party experts.
