PhD in Law from the School of Law, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She teaches at ISCTE-IUL and at the School of Law of Universidade Lusófona. Gameiro is a researcher at Dinâmia-CET/ISCTE-IUL - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, CEAD - Centro de Estudos Avançados em Direito Francisco Suárez, Universidade Lusófona, CIMA - Centro de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental, Universidade do Algarve, and CEDIS - Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is an elected member of the World Commission on Environmental Law of the IUCN - International Union for Conservation of Nature.
