Abstract/Resumo
The PSG’s purpose is to safeguard merit, evidence, and public values in how we educate current and future public servants—at a time of rapid digital change, mounting complexity, and growing pressures of politicization and misinformation, making it possible to advance knowledge, research, and innovation in the professional development of public-sector actors.
Its primary objective is to explore how educational programs, capacity‑building strategies, and competency-based training models can strengthen the efficiency, ethics, and responsiveness of public administration. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, the group seeks to identify emerging trends, evaluate the impact of training methodologies, and contribute to evidence‑based improvements in public-sector learning systems.
A second core objective is to promote collaboration between academia, public institutions, and practitioners in order to co‑create knowledge relevant to contemporary governance challenges. Through comparative studies, empirical research, and the exchange of best practices at national and international levels, the group aspires to support the design of innovative curricula and policy frameworks that enhance professional readiness and strategic decision‑making in public administration. Ultimately, the group aims to contribute to a more skilled, adaptive, and citizen‑focused public sector.
