Abstract
Studying Religions is important to understand who we are, especially in times of globalization,
and should be an obligatory discipline all over the world. Professor Ramos initiated me in these studies,
and helped me to understand the importance of Religion, even in atheism and agnosticism’s era, the times
we are living in.
This article is about the impact of Arab Islamization on Zoroastrianism, how it should have been according
to the islamic sacred texts, the way it was during the Rashidun, the Umayyads and the Abbasids caliphates,
and how did it survived Islamization. It is also about Zoroastrianism deep-rooted connection with Persian
culture and identity, and how it helped to shape Islamization in Ancient Persia. Finally, what is its importance
in Islamic Republic of Iran.
