The mobility of students across borders has increased significantly since 2000. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, international students were the group of migrants that increased the most. This pandemic has fostered profound transformations in ISM patterns, highlighting some challenges regarding its sustainability, but also enhancing alternative forms of mobility. The growth of ISM is a consequence of globalization in close connection with the increasing value attached to the internationalization of higher education. ER -
