AB  - This investigation evaluates the mobile application OK4Surgery's role in enhancing the surgical journey for patients. The app aims to provide continuous support, direct communication, and essential information for decision-making before, during, and after surgery. It personalizes surgical experience, boosts health literacy, improves patient satisfaction, facilitates communication between healthcare professionals and patients, sends real-time alerts, reduces surgery cancellations, and optimizes operating room performance. Key features include digital informed consent, diagnostic and therapeutic test lists, educational materials, surgery acceptance, fasting and medication instructions, AI-supported chat, real-time alerts and notifications, and the option to include a companion. The application addresses operational challenges, implementation barriers, literacy, performance metrics, leadership practices, and benefits of a personalized digital tool. Qualitative research involving interviews with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and hospital administrators reveals that OK4Surgery can transform the patient's surgical journey. It provides an informed, personalized experience and optimizes surgical processes through more informed decision-making
