AB  - On February 13, 2026, the African Union (AU) concluded one of the most dynamic chapters in its recent history. The presidency of João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, came to an end, handing over the baton to Burundi on the weekend of February 14-15, during the 39th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the AU, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This was not merely a year of administrative management; it was a period in which Angola's "Diplomacy of Dialogue" was tested on the world's most complex stage.
