TY - CHAP TI - Project-based learning for Logistics & Supply Chain Management at Iscte Executive Education T2 - Novos exemplos de Práticas Pedagógicas e Estratégias de Inovação Pedagógica no Iscte AU - Martins, A. PY - 2026 CY - Lisbon AB - Lifelong learning is essential for keeping pace with the dynamic nature of the modern world and the evolving competencies required for professionals to excel in their roles. Increasingly, experienced professionals are returning to education to stay abreast of emerging trends, frameworks, and methodologies, as well as to acquire and update skills in their respective fields. To effectively address this need, training programmes must employ pedagogical methodologies tailored to the targeted competencies and the learners’ profiles. More participatory approaches are required, fostering the exchange of experiences facilitated by academic staff. Given their nature, capstone courses must incorporate active and participatory teaching methodologies. This chapter aims to present the experience of a capstone course within the Online Applied Programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Iscte Executive Education, considering the perspectives of participating companies and learners. The course aligns with Iscte’s Pedagogical Model and is based on project-based learning, in which a company provides a set of challenges that the learners must address during an intensive residential weekend. The chapter describes the pedagogical experience conducted and the value generated for both learners and the companies involved. ER -
