The session takes Re-Wall as its starting point: an exhibition infrastructure conceived for the Engawa Space at CAM Gulbenkian, coordinated by João Quintela and Marta Sequeira, and conceived and built in an academic context with architecture students from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Designed as an architectural system without obsolescence, the project proposes a flexible, sustainable and circular museography, based on the reuse of surplus materials from the construction industry and remnants from previous exhibitions. The public programme had brought together architects, historians, curators, artists, researchers, professors, students, technical teams and institutional representatives, seeking to discuss a central question for contemporary architectural practice: how to respond to the urgency of reducing waste, not only through the choice of new sustainable materials, but also by rethinking existing resources, designing reversible connections, extending life cycles and assuming reuse as a central act of design.
