TY - RPRT TI - Monitorização da Saúde Menstrual em Portugal: Um quadro de indicadores para políticas públicas mais informadas, inclusivas e eficazes AU - Alarcão, V. PY - 2026 DO - 10.5281/zenodo.23437084 UR - https://zenodo.org/records/23437085 AB - This policy brief presents findings from a Delphi study aimed at identifying indicators for monitoring menstrual health in Portugal. Drawing on the contributions of multidisciplinary experts, the study examined indicators covering menstrual health literacy, institutional measures and infrastructure, the impact of menstruation on everyday life and stigma, access to diagnosis and healthcare, and menstrual health across the life course. Of the 35 indicators assessed, 32 reached the predefined consensus threshold of at least 75%. The findings provide a basis for developing a more comprehensive approach to menstrual health monitoring and informing public policies across health, education, and other relevant sectors. The brief outlines key policy implications and recommendations to support the integration of menstrual health indicators into information systems, policy development, and evaluation. It also highlights areas where further discussion and work are needed before indicators can be operationalised and implemented. The publication is based on research conducted within the project CROSS-MINDS—Participatory Construction of Menstrual Health Monitoring Indicators in France and Portugal. ER -
