This study is based on study of House and Aditya (1997), the GLOBE Project – Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (1997) – on the effects of national cultural values and organizational leadership styles exercised in organizations. It is assumed that in the national culture in which a reduced distance to power is predominant, it is expected a greater degree of confidence in participatory decision-making in other words provides a high degree of confidence in the experience of managers and their subordinates. A questionnaire survey was administered to 43 employees of Timor-Telecom aged between 24 and 51. The questionnaires of Globe Project were used, translated to Portuguese and Tetum. Exploratory semi-directive interviews were also conducted. ER -
