AB  - Public Administration is one of the largest software development clients and producers.

A large part of today's developed code in the public administration is open source.

Although some repositories of code exist for a long time, they lack tools for discovering and sharing software code.

With the experience of developing the portuguese public administration Source Code Repository (http://svn.gov.pt) and the coordinators of EU R&D PROSE project (http://www.ict-prose.eu), our team have specific ideas about how the new generation of public administration repositories should be organised and which features would be necessary to develop to allow a better collaboration across borders.
