TY - CPAPER TI - Ethnological inquiry into sexual behaviours at risk to homosexuals in Portugal T2 - Retrovirology VL - 7 AU - Maia, M. AU - Fekhari, K. PY - 2010 SP - 121-121 SN - 1742-4690 DO - 10.1186/1742-4690-7-S1-P121 UR - https://retrovirology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1742-4690-7-S1-P121 AB - In Portugal, since 1982 homosexuality is not any more a crime. However, the population remains homophobe. Marriage isn’t allowed between persons of the same sex and crimes or attacks against homosexuals, transsexual or transgender punctuate actuality. The condition of oppressed minority predominates in their group identity but also in their own identity, in their self-definition. As a result, these practices are considered twice more transgressive. The socially transgressive context in which take place these sexual exchanges sets the individuals in a territory considered “out of limits”. ER -
