It is based on a survey of 4,191 students of 6th grade in 120 public schools in Recife city, Pernambuco (Brazil). This study propose a synthetic index obtained through the Multiple Correspondence Analysis method, which is able to capture the cultural familiar capital, broadly understood as a way of joining economics and cultural resources besides the parents involvement. The intention in this article is to point out the influence of this capital on the students’ cognitive performance. ER -
