TY - CPAPER TI - “The Italian extreme right between religion, contagion and conspiracy” T2 - THE MULTIFACETED VIEW OF POLITICAL REPRESENTATION BETWEEN LIBERAL AND ANTI-LIBERAL REGIMES IN EUROPE AND SOUTH AMERICA AU - Goffredo Adinolfi AU - Andrea Molle PY - 2021 AB - The line that separates politics and the world of conspiracy theories is not always clear. On the one hand, it is hard to trace the hidden ways militant conspiracy groups spread on the web. On the other hand, it is hard to uncover the more or less hidden connections between those movements and mainstream right-wing parties. The main linkage between the two is the common idea that ‘the People’ are being attacked by a strong and powerful elite. Thus, this does not mean that there is a straight connection between populist parties and militant conspiracies. ER -
