Abstract
“All the evil in the world”, historically, from self-destruction to the aim of total-destruction, has been rationally justified; somehow, the best of human creativity and spontaneity is co-opted; a free ride mechanism works in the legitimization of science, the use of technology and the naturalisation of what was previously considered unacceptable and even unconceivable. An ethno-psychiatric interpretation of the human existence, with its contradictions, existential anguish and metaphysical, fictional and imaginative elaborations, brings to the scene the work of Maine de Biran, who argued that life is process and that each individual existence is a fractal, permanently open to the unknown. Moreover, learning from Fernando Gil, contemporary societies shifted the tension, conflict and divide from the exact-sciences versus the humanities opposition-tandem, to the integrative role of management and communication sciences. Consequently, there is a paramount strength in real-life and concrete initiatives such as KANTORA, which bridges vibrant Olot, Catalunya, and emerging Gambia. It enables dismounting the context of the ecological transition and of the Anthropocene symbolism, in ways that bring to the surface how social regulation and social control are performed and enacted. The conclusion to be manifested, which has emerged from whatever is already there, in real life and in textual form, connects to the goals and objectives of a deep-dive into a phenomenological approach, which is both a method and an anthropology, an ethnoanthropological regard.
