Abstract
Even though Fascism and Populism are two completely different answer to the crisis of democracy, however they share one point: how to overcome liberalism. In that plan Populist logic represents a clear challenge to liberal-representative democracy and since the defeat of Fascism, Populism is the only rhetoric allowed to escape from liberalism. Through the Italian case, the aim of the paper is to discuss differences and continuities between the Fascist and Populist representative model.
