Resumo: Apesar das limitações das União Africana (UA), em suas capacidades e recursos ao seu dispor, a UA tem procurado alargar e dinamizar os domínios da Segurança e Defesa regionais e continentais. Daí que, e de acordo com o Tratado Constitutivo da União Africana (UA), esta tenha levado por diante a implementação de uma Política Comum de Defesa e Segurança Africana (PCDSA) sob a égide de uma Agenda para a Paz e Segurança da União Africana (APSUA). São algumas destas dinâmicas que se abordam neste ensaio.________/_______ Abstract: Despite the limitations of the African Union (AU), in terms of its capacities and resources at its disposal, the AU has sought to expand and streamline the domains of regional and continental Security and Defense. Hence, and in accordance with the Constitutive Treaty of the African Union (AU), the latter has taken forward the implementation of a Common African Defense and Security Policy (PCDSA) under the aegis of an Agenda for Peace and Security of the African Union (APSUA). Some of these dynamics are discussed in this essay.
