Celebrating the beginning of the armed struggle in Angola on February 4, 1961, it was a commemoration of an extraordinarily significant period: the intersection between the audacity of 1961 and the maturity of an Angola that is now celebrating five decades of National Independence. Being here, fifty years after the raising of our flag, compels us to reflect on a matter that transcends protocol. February 4th was not a historical accident; it was the turning point where the centuries-long suffering of a people transformed into political strategy and liberating action.
