Abstract
What gender dynamics can we observe throughout the life course of (heterosexual) migrant couples, from the emigration decision at young age till the im/mobility decision at retirement age, considering most of their working life was spent in a country they were not born in? This is the starting question of this presentation, based on data from an empirical and cross-national on-going research on older Portuguese working migrants in Switzerland.
