Abstract
The field of ICT is growing and the online services offered by governmental and non-governmental institutions began to allow citizens to submit their requests from anywhere by simply using the internet, leading to government and private services to reduce physical service stations, replacing them by offering online services, hence decreasing the face-to-face interaction between citizens and services. In this new reality how to use computers and the Internet and have digital literacy skills by people who are not literate or can hardly read or write? In order to know this we studied the digital literacy of Gypsies of Reguengos de Monsaraz with a combination of qualitative (interview) and quantitative (survey) methods to show the social context in which this Gypsies live and how they deal with information technologies in the various dimensions of daily life.
