Abstract
With the rising interest in non-official perspectives on international development including their unintended consequences and so-called ‘afterlives’ (Refs), there emerges a need to identify suitable research approaches. In particular, qualitative-ethnographic methods are important for diving deeply into the complexities and hidden narratives associated with project’s lasting legacies. In what follows, we propose our collective reflections on tackling the complex nature of development’s remains.
