Abstract
LusOpenEdition is an open access initiative conducted in Portugal since 2011 thanks to a partnership between OpenEdition and CRIA - Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia. LusOpenEdition provides the Portuguese-speaking academic community with OpenEdition platforms, training and communication services regarding open access. OpenEdition is a research infrastructure dedicated to open access scholarly communication in the humanities and social sciences, encompassing all disciplines. OpenEdition offers a coherent set of four platforms dedicated to journals (Revues.org), book series (OpenEdition Books), research blogs (Hypotheses) and academic announcements (Calenda). The four complementary platforms come together as an internationally-based device for electronic editions. Open Edition is a public and nonprofit initiative. The freemium economic model, developed by OpenEdition, allows all users open access to resources and all content producers free access to platform services.
