Abstract
Observatories are platforms that seek to create an environment of subsidized interaction with information and other useful tools for monitoring an object, phenomenon, and territory. In this article, a taxonomic classification study of the various types of existing observatories is presented, with the objective of supporting the BIP / ZIP Observatory design process, in order to follow the Priority Intervention Neighbourhoods and Zones Program of the city of Lisbon. The Observatory’s Taxonomy organized information collected on observatories selected from keywords that identify research interests, and brings visualization from a digital platform that allows an observation of the relationships between the various elements that compose categories of analysis of observatory characteristics.
