The report provides an overview of the social and sports situation of African migrant footballers in Portugal. It is divided into five thematic areas, as follows: a) Literature review; b) Overview on immigrant players in Portugal; c) Legal framework; d) Reports and media; Interview analysis. From the last item the following subthemes are highlighted: sport and social insertion in the territories of origin, motivation and migratory processes, main difficulties in social and sport insertion in the host country, recommendations.
