En los últimos años en distintas ciudades ha ocurrido una intensificación de los procesos de gentrificación y turistificación. El aumento del valor de los alquileres y la liberalización del mercado inmobiliario dificultan la permanencia de los residentes, especialmente en las zonas centrales de las grandes ciudades, lo que se traduce en desplazamientos forzosos y desalojos. En este contexto de intensificación de las desigualdades sociales urbanas comienza a emerger una serie de movimientos sociales que desafían las políticas públicas actualmente implementadas. La cara más conocida y mediática de estos movimientos sociales son las acciones de protesta y manifestación. Esta práctica constituye una de las acciones más conocidas dentro de un repertorio mucho más amplio. El artículo propone estudiar las acciones llevadas a cabo por estos movimientos, las llamadas políticas prefigurativas y diversas iniciativas de acción directa. Con ello, se analizan las diferentes acciones de los movimientos sociales antigentrificación y antituristificación en las ciudades de Lisboa y Sevilla. Estas ciudades tienen contextos similares de gentrificación y aumento exponencia del número de turistas en la última década. Primero se contextualizará el debate sobre gentrificación y turistificación; luego, se discutirán los conceptos de política prefigurativa y acción directa; finalmente, se analizarán los casos de Lisboa y Sevilla. ____ In recent years, the processes of gentrification and touristification has been intensified in different cities. The increase in the value of rents and the liberalization of the real estate market make it difficult for residents to stay, especially in the central areas of large cities, which results in forced displacement and evictions. Many social movements have begun to emerge in this context of increasing urban social inequalities, challenging current public policies. The most well-known aspect of this are the protests and demonstrations of these social movements. This practice constitutes one of the best-known actions within a much broader repertoire. Among the other actions carried out by these movements, the so-called prefigurative policies and various direct-action initiatives stand out. This article proposes to analyze the different actions of the anti-gentrification and anti-tourism social movements in Lisbon and Seville. Both cities have similar contexts of gentrification and an exponential increase in the number of tourists in the last decade. First, the debate on gentrification and touristification will be contextualized. Then, the concepts of prefigurative politics and direct action will be discussed; finally, Lisbon and Seville’s cases will be analyzed.
