Abstract
We tested whether homophobic and category-neutral labels were differently appraised as a function of com- ing-out. Results show that labels valence perceptions’ increased as participants’ coming-out increased. More- over, coming-out moderated the relationship bewteen labels and internalized homophobia and body concerns.
