Resumo CV
Catarina Santos obtained a degree in Health Psychology (2004) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy (2007). This academic background marked the beginning of a professional career encompassing clinical practice, teaching, and training. Her experience in psychological counseling and psychotherapy includes private practice with adolescents and adults. Her activities as training coordinator and trainer included the development of pedagogical content, team management, and competency assessment. Her teaching roles include lecturing in General Psychology (Universidade Independente; 2005/2006) and guest lecturing in undergraduate and graduate courses (ISCTE; 2023/2024). Between 2019 and 2022, she worked at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at ISCTE, supporting the school Departments and ensuring the smooth operation of the school academic ativities. In 2022, she joined the Central Administration of the Health System (ACSS), taking on responsibilities in planning and implementing capacity-building initiatives for the National Health Service (SNS). She also contributes to international projects such as the EU Interoperability with HERA’s IT platform (EU-HIP), and the Joint Action CIRCE-JA, part of EU4Health, as well as initiatives by the World Health Organization on population-based care integration and management through Local Health Units. She represents the ACSS as a focal point in the National Plan to Combat Racism and Discrimination, liaising with the High Commission for Migration (ACM). She is also engaged in the Ambassadors Network for the Promotion of Human Rights in Public Administration (INA), where she coordinates a quarterly newsletter. Additionally, she is a member of the Monitoring Committee for PESSOAS 2030. At the ACSS, she designed and implemented a multidisciplinary academic Internship Program. In this context, she coordinates the onboarding process, assigns placements, and supervises interns. Her commitment to ongoing learning led her to complete a Master’s in Social and Organizational Psychology (2023). In her dissertation she explored the sociocognitive mechanisms of misinformation acceptance and correction in health contexts. This research avenue aligns with her professional and personal interests in health misinformation and pseudoscience, which motivated her to pursue a PhD in Psychology (2023; ISCTE). She has completed all the coursework and several specialized workshops, gaining advanced theoretical and methodological knowledge and simultaneously obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis (2024; FP-UL) to enhance the conceptualization, design, and implementation of her doctoral project.
